We believe that a happy child is a successful one so we work together to present a curriculum that is exciting, challenging and enjoyable. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued and to providing personalised learning and high quality teaching to enable everyone to achieve their individual potential. By working in a close partnership with parents we endeavour to ensure that all of our pupils have an excellent start to their education. We hope that this website gives you an insight into life at our school but we strongly recommend that you visit the school to see for yourself the rich variety of opportunities that Whitchurch can offer you and your child. 'Whitchurch is a good school with some outstanding features. The school’s Christian ethos has led to a positive, happy atmosphere in which good teaching and learning encourage children to make very good progress.' SIAS Inspection Report June 2008 'I write to congratulate you and the staff and governors on the outcome of your recent Ofsted inspection. There are many tributes paid to the school throughout this report. This report is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of you all.' Ofsted Report April 2008 Every child is special From Reception onwards children are encouraged to have self respect and to respect the rights of others. They are encouraged to be confident, independent, self-motivated and to co-operate with others in all aspects of their school life. Through the Class Councils, School Council and our unique Learning Council our children learn to voice their opinions, to be good citizens and to care for both their own school community and the wider environment. We believe in a system of positive rewards and every week we celebrate achievement throughout the school with our Celebration Assembly. 'A notable strength is the excellent pastoral care that is provided by all adults. Pupils develop into mature, confident, polite young people by the time they reach Year 6'. OFSTED 2008.jpg)

We place great emphasis on the development of each child as an individual. The ethos of our school is based on ensuring that every child is provided with a personalised education and an experience that is broad-based and comprehensive. Our concern is with the whole child, their emotional and physical well-being and their cultural, moral and social development. We have a positive ‘can do’ culture at Whitchurch and we have a strong presumption of success. Our children thrive in this atmosphere and aim high.
